You can also opt out of some of these services through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal at http://optout.aboutads.info/.

Under some state laws, this kind of advertising counts as "selling" or "sharing" Personal Information. See "Your Privacy Rights" below to opt out.

Using Personal Information

We use your Personal Information to provide our products and services, including to process payments, fulfill orders, keep you informed about new products, services, and offers, and to operate, secure, and improve the Site.

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill your order and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, generally up to seven years. We keep marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Device and analytics information is kept for the periods set by the relevant cookie or provider, described below. When we no longer need Personal Information, we delete or de-identify it.

Email Marketing and Unsubscribing

If you sign up for our emails or texts, we will send you news about our products and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, replying STOP to any text message, or emailing info@thethirdrooom.com. We may still send you messages about your orders after you unsubscribe from marketing.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the Personal Information we hold about you, and receive a copy in a portable format.
  • Correct inaccurate Personal Information.
  • Delete your Personal Information.
  • Opt out of the sale of your Personal Information, the sharing of your Personal Information for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Limit or consent to the use of sensitive Personal Information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive Personal Information or use it to infer characteristics about you.

These rights apply to residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, as those laws take effect. We will consider requests from residents of other states as well.

How to make a request. Email info@thethirdrooom.com or write to us at the address below. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching information you give us with information we already have. We will respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing info@thethirdrooom.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a different level of quality because you exercised your privacy rights.

California Residents

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to:

  • Know what categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.

We do not sell Personal Information for money. We may "share" device information with advertising partners such as Google, Meta, and Pinterest for targeted advertising, which California law treats as sharing.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof of your written permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information for that browser or device. You can also opt out by using our cookie consent banner or by emailing info@thethirdrooom.com.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your computer or device when you visit a website. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the store to work (such as your cart and checkout), cookies that remember your preferences, analytics cookies that help us understand how the Site is used, and advertising cookies. Some cookies last only until you close your browser; others last until they expire, generally between 30 minutes and two years, or until you delete them.

For a current list of the cookies Shopify places on stores, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.

You can manage your cookie choices through our cookie consent banner. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may make parts of the Site work less well, and it may not fully stop us from sharing information with advertising partners. To opt out of those uses, follow the steps in "Behavioral Advertising" and "Global Privacy Control" above.

Do Not Track

Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not change our practices when we detect one. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control signals as described above.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information, consistent with New York's SHIELD Act and other applicable laws. Payments are processed by our payment providers on secure, encrypted systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy here and change the "Last updated" date above.
